Agriculture Immersion Program

Duration: One day
Suitable for: Grades 6–10

Learning outcome:
Students explore soil, crops, irrigation, farm biodiversity, food systems, and sustainable agricultural practices through guided observation and hands-on activities, helping them understand the relationship between farming, ecology, and everyday life.

Nursery and Plant Life Program

Duration: One day
Suitable for: Grades 6–10

Learning outcome:
Students learn how plants are propagated, nurtured, transplanted, and maintained while exploring roots, seeds, cuttings, soil, compost, plant care, and the role of nurseries in greening and conservation.

BRT Biodiversity Explorer

Duration: 2 days / 1 night
Location: BR Hills, Karnataka
Suitable for: Grades 8–10

Learning outcome:
Students explore forest ecosystems through guided observation, biodiversity documentation, field activities, and interaction with experts, gaining a deeper understanding of habitats, species relationships, conservation, and human connections with the landscape.

Nagarahole Forest Ecology Program

Duration: 2 days / 1 night
Location: Nagarahole, Karnataka
Suitable for: Grades 8–10

Learning outcome:
Students investigate forest ecology through wildlife observation, animal signs, habitat study, food webs, conservation discussions, and reflective activities, helping them understand how species, landscapes, and communities are interconnected.

Before the Visit

Students are introduced to the theme, location, key questions, and basic concepts so they arrive curious and prepared.

During the Experience

Learners observe, explore, participate in hands-on activities, interact with experts, and document what they discover.

Reflection

Students discuss their observations, connect the experience with classroom concepts, and organise their learning through journals, presentations, or group activities.

Continued Learning

Follow-up projects, resources, mentorship, and further enquiry help extend learning beyond the program.

Every school, student group, and learning objective is different. Green Guide programs can be adapted in consultation with educators to create an experience that is relevant, engaging, and manageable.
