Nursery and Plant Life Program

Suitable for: Grades 6–10
Group Size: 40–50 students per batch

Experiential Learning Activities

  • Guided tour of a plant nursery with interaction with nursery professionals
  • Hands-on seed sowing, potting, transplanting, and plant propagation
  • Explore propagation methods including seeds, stem cuttings, grafting, and layering
  • Learn about soil types, composting, organic manure, and plant nutrition
  • Identify native, ornamental, medicinal, and fruit-bearing plants
  • Understand watering methods, nursery management, and plant-care practices
  • Participate in plant observation, illustration, group discussion, and presentation activities

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the program, students will be able to:

  • Understand how plants are propagated, nurtured, and maintained from seed to sapling
  • Understand the role of nurseries in afforestation, urban greening, biodiversity conservation, and ecological restoration
  • Connect classroom concepts with real-world plant science, including:
